Our Story

Surecraft Plastics began in 1988, when Larry Durant transformed a personal passion into a business with a clear purpose. At the time, plastic fabrication in Canada was a niche industry, with the majority of products being imported from overseas. Larry saw a gap — and an opportunity — to offer something that was not only high-quality but also proudly Canadian-made. His interest in learning new skills and exploring innovative techniques became the foundation of a business that valued craftsmanship, precision, and local production.

From those early days, Surecraft was about more than just manufacturing; it was about setting a higher standard for Canadian fabrication. As a teenager, I, Alan Durant, found myself drawn to the workbench, fascinated by the tools, materials, and possibilities my father was working with. That early exposure sparked a deep interest, and I quickly stepped in to learn the trade alongside him. Over the years, my skills grew, my expertise deepened, and my vision expanded — but the heart of our business has remained the same: to deliver exceptional plastic products that reflect both our family’s dedication and our commitment to Canadian innovation.
