Our Story
Surecraft Plastics was founded in 1988 by Larry Durant, at a time when plastic fabrication was still a relatively specialized industry in Canada and many fabricated plastic products were imported from overseas. Larry saw an opportunity to build those capabilities locally, combining hands-on craftsmanship with a willingness to learn new techniques and work with an evolving range of materials and applications.
Alan Durant became involved in the business at a young age, learning the trade alongside his father and developing experience with the tools, materials, and fabrication methods that shaped Surecraft’s early work. Over the years, that experience grew into a broader role in the company and eventually into carrying the family business forward.
Today, Surecraft continues to build on those foundations, providing custom plastic fabrication and practical solutions for industrial, commercial, and specialized applications. More than 35 years after its founding, the company remains focused on skilled workmanship, problem-solving, and Canadian-based production.
